Physician-Owned Hospital
Our sixteen bed ICU unit offers full patient bedside monitoring. ICU patients generally have more multi-system failure or complications from injury, surgery, or illness and require intensive monitoring by nurses, therapists and other health care specialists. Patients in this unit may be ventilator dependent or require cardiac monitoring. Hemodialysis is also available.
Our multidisciplinary team of nursing, therapy, and specialists, with support from pharmacy, radiology, and laboratory serve patients with various medical conditions. Patients on these units are medically complex and include those with pulmonary, cardiac, wound care and dialysis needs. Telemetry is available and monitored by our specially trained ICU staff.
Pulmonary services include ventilator weaning, trach weaning, and pulmonary rehab. Our respiratory therapists are specially trained in progressive weaning techniques and are overseen by the Pulmonary Medical Director. The team approach provides a coordinated effort to aggressively manage a return to independent breathing from different types of pulmonary problems, including pneumonia, COPD, and infections.
Wound care services are provided to patients recovering from serious wound complications, extensive surgery, chronic wounds and pressure ulcers including stage III and IV. Often patients need wound care in addition to care from multi-system failure or complications from injury or illness. The clinical team of wound care nurses, physicians and other specialists work together to design a care plan specific to each patient. Each patient admitted is assessed by the team to address areas of need.
Physical, occupational and speech therapists work in an interdisciplinary manner under the guidance of the patient's physician. An individualized rehabilitation plan is developed based on each patient's level of tolerance and medical capability.
We provide a wide range of special/invasive procedures for both inpatients and outpatients. These include bronchoscopies, endoscopies, gastroscopies, insertion/maintenance of PA, CVL and arterial lines, and tracheotomies.
On site CT, MRI and special procedure rooms allow us to provide radiologic diagnostic testing and special or invasive procedures on an outpatient basis.
